Hi all.

1) I just got a Gamestop gift card and I'm contemplating getting inFAMOUS for the PS3.  Is it any good?  I'm mostly into RPGs but if a game of another genre is really fun I can seriously get into it -- and inFAMOUS looks fun. 

2) Forget genre.  What is, in your opinion, the must have playstation 3 game?

12:40 am - Shin Megami Tensei and S4 League?

So, ever since getting my new laptop with Vista 64-bit installed, I've been trapped in MMO hell. All I can get to work is ROSE online evolution and Maple Story (kinda sorta). I really want to play Shin Megami Tensei and S4 League. I've googled around but have yet to find anything that's helped me. Running XP compatibility mode doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I've considered downgrading to XP, but I want to upgrade to Windows 7 when it comes out, thus it making more sense to wait until it comes out so I don't have to reinstall all my software.

Does anyone with a 64-bit Vista know how to get MMOs like S4 League and Shin Megami Tensei to work?

10:46 pm - Dirty memory card slots on a WORKING fat boy PS2. Any ideas on cleaning them?

Ok. My brother was asking about this on a board we're both on but thought I'd bring it here.

We have a WORKING fat boy PS2. the only problem is it is not reading memory cards 100% of the time.

My bro's theory is the slots are FILTHY, for they look as bad as a filthy NES cart. Does anyone know or know of any resources on how to clean them? thanks. I'll pass it on.

Oh and just so you know; we've never gotten it repaired. We got it about the time FF10 came out, it has a hard drive in it for FFXI, and it's been like a tank. I think we got lucky. ^^

05:37 pm - D&D newbie. Help?

So, I need to help with character building. I'm off to play my third campaign this weekend and for previous campaigns, I always had this one friend help me build characters.

The DM hasn't been all too helpful is terms of character building, so here's the bare bones info I've got so far.

First and foremost, 40 PBE. What do I do with point buy equivalent points? Do they somehow apply to ability skill points? (see, aren't I a horrible newbie?)

Class: Rogue
Race: Human (just to keep it simple)
Alignment: Chaotic good
Weaponry: Longbow
Notes: Trying to concentrate mainly in ranged fighting, so Rapid Shot and the like are a must

EDIT: We'll be playing 3.5.

EDIT II: Starting level 4 with Weapon FInesse. Any suggestions for a good light melee weapon?

I have searched on game sites, checked Acquire's English site (it's not been updated since like... Feb/March) and can't find any info :(

The inclusion of it in "upcoming" on the English site implies that it's going to be released in English but whether it will be EU and US I don't know... I heard Shinobido was not released in the US, and I am worried that WOTS3 will only be released in the US.... being in the UK if it's EU-only I don't really care XD  A lot of things that I'd like are not released here, but are released in America so I'm thinking that WOTS3 will go that way too.

But there's no real news, since their site is barely updated I don't know whether to trust it or not.  I know it was ported to the 360 in Japan earlier this year, but as for an English version... who knows?

Or am I  and my one UK 360-owning friend the only fans outside Japan? Wah :(
